Truancy Diversion Social Work Program
The Truancy Diversion Social Work Program is designed to work with
school-age children and adolescents experiencing truancy. The program
focuses on an early intervention approach to more efficiently address
the needs of both the children and their families. The goal is to
improve school attendance by addressing the underlying difficulties
within families that may lead to truancy. The program seeks to help
families maintain a safe, stable and healthy environment so that
each child reaches his full potential.

Youth
Services Program
The Youth Services Program was developed to provide prevention/early
intervention services to children who were having their first contact
with the juvenile justice system. This intensive home-based service
is provided to the child and family either through direct services
or by referrals to community agencies. The goal is to prevent continued
involvement with the juvenile justice or child welfare systems.
The Youth Services Program is implemented by a consortium of Alliance
partner agencies including Elkins Mountain Schools, Burlington United
Methodist Family Services and Children's Home Society.
